Launch-window MONOWAVE guide with a spoiler-light Panic Jungle walkthrough, four emotion mechanics, boss help, collectibles, controls and a printable checklist.
Launch-window scope · checked 2026-09-16
Start here: MONOWAVE’s puzzles are easier once you stop treating each color as a temporary power-up and start asking one question: what state does this obstacle or spirit need? World 1, The Panic Jungle, teaches Happiness, Sorrow, Anger and Anxiety through movement, hazards and spirit behavior. Use the walkthrough when stuck; use the checklist when you want a clean sweep.

Steam unlock time: MONOWAVE releases on September 16, 2026 at 15:00 UTC — 08:00 PDT / 11:00 EDT / 16:00 BST / 23:00 Beijing time, and September 17, 2026 at 00:00 JST/KST (the same moment). Until that time the store build is still pre-release, so every route detail on this site stays scoped to the demo and pre-release playtests.
World 1 is documented. Worlds 2–4 are not guessed.
The official full-game listing confirms four unique worlds, but the deep walkthrough evidence available before unlock is concentrated in the demo’s World 1, The Panic Jungle. That is why this launch build goes deep on World 1 and keeps later-world pages off the site until full-release footage or official data exists.

Common stuck points
I cannot reach a platform.
Check whether the route is asking for Happiness first. Current demo footage repeatedly uses the happy state for lighter, higher movement. If the platform depends on a creature instead, change the creature’s state rather than spending the emotion on Mono.
I can see a passage but cannot fit.
Sorrow is the first state to test. The tutorial footage describes Sorrow as the state that lets Mono melt through narrow gaps, and later sequences also use it around water traversal.
The boss is not progressing.
Do not think in damage-per-second terms. The Panic Jungle boss behaves like a state puzzle: collect the needed emotion, apply it to the correct target, reposition, then repeat.
Do I need a controller?
The official Steam listing specifically says controller operation is required for 2-player mode. A creator comment that a controller is always required should not override the official wording.
